Our commitment

The Yacht Chef Media wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced motion settings.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML structure with a single logical heading order on every page
• Text and background colour combinations chosen to maintain readable contrast
• Full keyboard navigation, with all links and form fields reachable by tab
• Form fields with associated visible labels rather than placeholder text alone
• Responsive layout that reflows cleanly down to small screens and supports browser zoom
• Animation limited to subtle entrance effects, which are suppressed when a visitor has reduced motion enabled in their operating system

Known limitations

This is a visual portfolio site, so some content is inherently image and video led. We are working on adding descriptive alternative text to all imagery and captions to video content. Embedded media players are controlled by third parties and their accessibility is outside our direct control.

Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. We have not yet had a formal external audit, so we describe this as a target rather than a certified conformance claim.
